Mark your calendars, for Monday, June 26th to come to the beautiful Rock Golf Club in Minett. For $200 per person, you can enjoy a full day starting with a continental breakfast and ending with a full dinner, including prizes, auction and of course a full round of golf, (best ball format) including cart.
This year all proceeds from the event will be going towards Andy’s House Hospice in Port Carling. Andy’s House Hospice is a mission of the Andy Potts Memorial Foundation. In 2005, Ontario Provincial Police officer Andy Potts and his partner, Matt Hanes, were involved in a crash that took Andy’s life. Since 2006, the Foundation has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to help Muskoka communities. Identified as a critical need, the Foundation is building a hospice in Andy’s memory. Once built, Andy’s House will be operated under the expert guidance of Hospice Muskoka.
What is a hospice? It’s not just a building. It’s about comfort and compassion in a home-like environment. It’s a way of caring for, and improving the lives of people who have a life-limiting or terminal illness. For quality of life and dignity in a person’s final days, and support for those who care about that person most, there’s no place like hospice.
