Peter has taught everything about golf to golfers all ages and ability levels for over 25 years. He is particularly outstanding at making beginning or struggling golfers understand the swing and become proficient unbelievably quickly so that golf becomes a more enjoyable experience. He is also able to transform longtime or higher-level players games in ways that they have previously not been able to understand and feel in their swings.

Camps run every week throughout July and August from Tuesday through Thursday from 9:00am until Noon with a minimum of 4 campers.

Meet Peter

Peter Elgie joins The Rock as its’ Teaching Pro from Bushwood, where his memorable way of being and unorthodox instruction style established a word of mouth following for his teachings and his beloved junior golf camps.

After a prominent junior career, Peter played NCAA Division 1 college golf at Tulane University in New Orleans. He went on to be awarded a Master’s in Education from Canisius College and taught from Kindergarten through HS in both public and independent systems. For the past decade he has shifted exclusively to being a golf teacher. In the off-season, he conducts his golf practice in fabulous Asheville, North Carolina, and runs customized golf and life experiences.
